Tonight my sister got in a really bad car accident. They hit a cow going about 70 mph and it hit my sisters side of the car and went up over the top and took the top of the car off. My two little nephews walked away with just a couple of scratches and a seat belt rash, and my brother in law is fine.
My sister on the other hand has a broken arm, jaw, nose and fractures on her head. Her baby is fine (she is 7 and 1/2 months along) but the fireman said that they were all lucky that they werent dead. She had her seat reclined a little bit back because she is pretty much on bed rest for the baby (allready having contractions too close together) and they said if she wouldn't have had her seat back she would have died.
The firefighters had to cut her out of the car, and she was life flighted to the university of utah hospital, and is in stable condition. They said her jaw will have to be wired shut, and she will have to have several different operations to fix her face. I guess she got a really bad laceracion (spell?) abover her eye.
I know she is going to be ok, but I would ask you all for your prayers right now. She allready had so much going on in her life, and this is an extra stress that makes it all alot harder.

Ryan told me what happened, I'm so sorry! Sounds like a horrible accident with a very long recovery but I'm glad she made it out alive. I know this is bad but usually if people die in these accidents its at the scene so I'm glad Cari is at the hospital getting the care she needs. Please keep us updated, we love you!
That is horrible. I am so glad that she is in stable condition and that the others are okay (Baby too). What a blessing that they are all alive and going to be okay. We will definitely keep her in our prayers.

Oh that makes me sad. I'm glad all the kids were okay. We'll definetly keep her and her family in our prayers. I'm sure the lord was and still is watching out for them.

Wow! I am so sorry that they are having to go through all of that! (seriously..it is hard enough to have a COLD when u are pregnant, let alone a CAR accident!) My thoughts and prayers will be with your sister and her family..I hope her recovery is blessed with many meals, help around the house, pain relief, a happy home, helpful husband, and obedient children....
