4th of July

Hello everyone,
IJuly was a craaaaazy busy month and it just seemed like there was always a birthday to celebrate or someplace we needed to go. So there will be many pictures from the month of July to come for today we are concentrating on the 4th. I love the 4th of July. I love the parades, I love the patriotism and I LOVE fireworks!!! This year we skipped out on the parade because the boys were waking up at 9:00-9:30 in the morning and we just would not have made it, plus Jason had to work-bummer I know. But that is ok, we still managed to have a fun day. Jason met us for his lunch at his parents house where we had KFC-a West tradition for the 4th. The cousins played together and had a lot of fun. I of course had to match the boys for the holiday. I thought they looked so cute!!

Outside on the patio the kids ate watermelon and cheetos and played with cars.
Here is Jensen lounging on the chair
You could tell he was enjoying it and just laying there and relaxing.... but of course he doesnt relax for long....
....because Brad came along.....
.....and joined in with him on the fun!
My Mother in law Nancy loves her flowers and her yard is always so colorful. These are just a few of the flowers that she has around. Love them!!
Later on in the evening my family all met at the park near our house and had dinner while all the kids played. After the park it was time to get our gear together for the PG fireworks. We go every year and do not ever miss out on it. Sadly I dont have any pics of the fireworks this year because it was raining the whole time so I did not take my camera out. We did have fun, Brad cried a little but was happier once I put the blanket on top of our heads to keep not only the rain out but the ash from the fireworks as well. It was incredibly windy and we were being pelted by big chunks of cardboard from the fireworks. Sadly there were no misfires this year. PG always has at least 1 firework that doesnt explode in the air and explodes on the ground instead-which is scary but still really fun! The firework show was great. It felt like they just kept going off and there was never a break. It was beautiful...even with the rain falling in my eyes :D We packed everything up and headed back home. I'm all ready looking forward to next year!!
