Independence Day!!

Ok, so sorry that I have taken so long to do another post. A. I have been busy and B. I just havn't felt like really doing one. This week (except for Friday & Saturday) has been a long and tiring one. On Monday, the freezer at Juice Press broke for a 3rd time within 2 weeks! Thankfully we didn't lose any product. I caught it before it got too warm inside. Work was busy, and we had several people not show up (the most frustrating thing to deal with)! They don't bother to even call in and say they are not coming in. So that means that we are short people and that is when customers get rude! For the most part people are patient and wait, but you get those few that say mean stuff and do stupid things. Anyway, some other crap took place at work on Thursday that was just emotionally draining. Lets just say I had to give a statement to a police officer....(as much detail as I can really go into to..sorry)! So by this point I was sooooo ready for the weekend!

Thursday evening Jason and I headed over to his parents house for a BBQ! My mother in law made sloppy joes and for dessert she made homemade icecream! The neighbors came over, and the party was fun! The kids were all over the place having fun, and there were many pieces of CHALK art work on the cement! I got some great shots, and just had a good time relaxing! Later on we went down to the church and did some fireworks! My little niece was trying to blow out her sparkler and some of her hair fell forward from her head and caught on fire! Thankfully her dad (who is a fireman) was right there and patted it out. She didnt get hurt, just had some melted hair that came out in a little chunk! Jason and I left around 11:30 to go home and sleep!

The next morning Jason had to work (sad I know) so I went to the parade with his family. It was fun, very similar to the strawberry days parade with a few differences. There was nice cloud coverage which kept us all a lot cooler! After the parade we came back to my inlaws home and pretty much crashed! While everyone tooks naps Vanessa (my little sister in law) and I played Super Mario Brothers! Lol...it was fun! I had not played that game for a while, and I must say I didn't do too shabby of a job! Vanessa was a pro and knew all of the secrets! My father in law went and picked up some KFC. The Grandparents came over and we all ate. After lunch I fell asleep on the couch. It felt so nice because I was soooo tired! Afterwards I watched the rerun of "So you think you can dance" with my mother in law. We then watched some episodes of "What Not to Wear"! I then went home, and Jason and I then headed to my dads house for Hamburgers, and then we hit the fireworks at Pleasant Grove Jr. High. My cousins were there, my whole family was there, and Jasons family met up with us as well. Let's just say it was a par-tay! The fireworks finally started and they were AMAZING! Better than any other year! They just kept shooting up! Tons and tons of them! At the end everyone there was cheering! I got some fun pictures! It was a very fun Fourth of July!

Today was a lazy day of cleaning the house, and spending some down time with Jason. I got dishes done and tons of laundry washed and folded!

Now for a little moment to say how much I just throughly enjoy The Fourth of July!! It is one of my Favorite holidays! I love the weather, the fun, the fireworks and the fact that we are celebrating our Freedom! The beautiful fact that we all have choices because of this amazing country! I love walking out my door everyday and knowing that I have freedom of choice! I am sooooo very thankful for the country we live in. One song that I love is the Battle Hymn of the Republic! In choir we sang this song, and I get chills everytime I hear it. Of course the MoTab sings it the best, but I couldn't find it to play on my blog so The Star Spangled Banner will have to do!

I hope you all had a great and safe Fourth of July! Always remember how lucky you are to live where you live, and for the freedoms that you have!! Thanks for reading my rambling!!

Sounds like a busy but fun week for you. Happy 4th by the way. I was up in PG a little while ago and thought about visiting the Juice press, I would love to stop by and say "HI" sometime.

Hi Kelli. I'm so glad you found my blog. I kind of lost touch with everyone when we moved, but I've been missing my friends so I was so happy to hear from you.
I love your blog. The Jordin Sparks concert sounded like so much fun. I love a good concert.
I'm glad you had a great 4th. I watched the What Not To Wear marathon too. I love that show.
Well Dave and I and Ella moved to Missouri last year and we're enjoying life out here although I do miss Utah food and friends.
It's good to hear from you. I'm going to add you to my blog roll and check up on what you're doing now. :-) Tell Sharron Park hi for me.
