{Annual Easter Weenie Roast}

Jasons family (extended included) always has an Easter tradition. The Saturday before Easter Sunday everybody gets together at Jasons Uncles house in the field, they build a BIG fire and everyone gathers around it to roast hotdogs and marshmallows. The adults sit and talk while the kids run around and have fun. After a little bit all the kids go looking for Easter eggs in the orchard (they usually hide around 200+ eggs). You would think spotting colorful eggs in a field of dirt would be easy, let me tell you some eggs do well at hiding from your eyes. It is so fun to watch the kids run out and hunt for eggs. Since Jense and Brad can't walk, and can't really eat candy we just took them out to each "find" one egg. Once we set them down right in front of the egg (and once they saw it) they reached out and grabbed it. Grandma Nancy was great in making sure no one tipped back and hit a head on the rocky ground around.

Here is Jensen... their poor eyes were so sensitive to the wind. It looks like they are crying but they were actually really happy. Anytime their eyes water (or when they actually do cry their eyes go red-looking as if they have had an allergic reaction).

We had a GREAT time talking to everybody and hanging out. We saw cousins that we have not seen in a couple of years. I had pictures of them all but i figured there were tons allready (and if I posted all the others this would equal a VERY long post). I love Jasons family. His Aunts, Uncles and cousins are so much fun to hang around with and there is always tons of laughter and joking. So much fun. All of them couldn't believe how big the boys have gotten. Can't wait until next year when the boys can find the eggs on their own and actually have a little more fun doing it. Easter post to follow soon....hopefully.... :)
