Exciting news!!

Well, some have been asking when I would post this on my blog and I finally thought I would share the fantastic news. Jason and I are having a baby!! Yep, we a pregnant and very excited about it. I am 12 weeks along and still have a hard time believing that there is a little person inside of me growing. We broke the news to close family the day before Thanksgiving, and then told extended family on Thanksgiving. We were just so happy and could not keep the news in. Jason and I have now been married for 4 years and thought that it was time to start our family. On January 5th we heard the heartbeat and it was so fun! Jason was so happy and couldn't stop smiling! I'm not sure what we are going to have, but I get a lot of Boys and Girl guesses from everyone so we shall see. We will find out what we are having at our appointment in March! Jason has been the sweetest husband. Getting me what I need, and making sure that I am so careful. He won't even let me vacuum. He said that he read it was not a good movement for me and the baby! Sure okay, I won't vacuum sweetheart! It's just so cute to see him so worried about me and the baby! I know he will be a fantastic Dad!!

Well when week 6 hit I started getting the beautiful morning sickness. I was throwing up a ton, so I tried the unisom and B6 and it didn't work. So I then called my doctor and they prescribed me some Phenegran which worked for about a week and then stopped. After that I had a really hard time keeping down food. The day after Christmas started my 3 days of throwing up everything that went down, whether it was food or liquid. I was so very hungry, but couldn't stop throwing up. So the next morning (monday) I called my doctor and they said they were going to send me over to the hospital to get IV therapy. I was dehydrated and felt like crap! They put the IV in along with some Zofran and I could tell a difference. That day I was able to keep water and apple juice down! YAY! And since then I take zofran every 6 hours. I am still feeling nauseous and throw up every now and then. My meals every day consist of eating an apple and some yogurt and maybe a PB&J sandwhich at night. I am so ready to eat some real food. I hope the sickness goes away soon like it should. And even though I have been feeling not so hot I wouldn't have it any other way! I have actually lost 30 pounds now since December 10th ish!! That has been the only good thing from me being so sick. My pants are so baggy, and I wore a skirt for the first time in 2 years.

Once again, we are so happy and feel so blessed to be on this new path in life. I only hope that I can be the best mom to this baby. I know it will be a big change in our lives, but a great one. I have so many emotions going through me, and not enough words to express them. I can't wait to find out what we are having and to start buying stuff for our little one! I can't wait to feel it move around inside of me, and to feel it kick!

I am putting up a poll for you all to vote on what you think we are having! Please vote, it will be fun for me to see what you all think!
Kelli :)

I know how you feel! Zofran is a life saver, just be grateful your pregnant now. When i was on Zofran with my daughter it was $250 for 10 pills! I am very grateful for it now it cost me $10 for 30 pills BIG difference! I am sooooo excited for you guys if you have any questions about the morning sickness send me a message, I had to have IV therapy for the first 3 months of my last pregnancy... but like you said totally worth it!

Yay! I'm so happy for you! I can't believe you have lost 30 lbs though. Poor girl. I hope the medicine works for you soon. I was very sick with Aliya for the first five months also, but the good thing is that I felt awesome when it was finally gone. I hope it doesn't last as long for you. Congrats again!

Congratulations!!! I am sure you will be a great mommy!

I hope you start feeling better.

I also had to receive IV therapy with both of my pregnancies, so I know how rough it can be.

Congrats! You will be the cutest mom ever! I'm sorry you are so sick...no fun. It is funny how you forget all about that once they are born.

Oh my goodness!! Congratulations! I am sorry you are so sick. Zofran cost around $150 a pill when I was pregnant and the insurance would only give me 10 pills per year so I would use a half pill very sparingly. Great stuff though. I hope all goes well with you and that sickness goes away soon. Keep us updated!!

Congratulations! I voted for a girl, because I think it would be so cute to have a mini Kelli. So are you due in July/August? That's when Ella was born, and it was a great time to have a baby. I'm sorry you're feeling so sick. Everything but Sonic made me throw up, and I'm being totally serious. You'll probably be feeling better around week 17. That's just my guess.
