Buaha...SERIOUSLY???

Ok, so this is funny to me. Most likely will not be to all of you but I still wanted to post this. For those of you who work retail you might understand!

There is this lady customer that comes in often. Every time she comes in she magages to say something that leaves me and my coworkers laughing and asking ourselves if she really just said/did that. Now I hear a lot of interesting things said by customers and she by far has topped them all with not only her words but her facial expressions. I am laughing just thinking about it.
SO here is our conversation that took place today....

*ok, at this point she has purchased a combo meal with a sanwhich and a smoothie (which comes with a bag of chips) and she was standing at the register as if she needed something else)...

Me: is there anything else I can do for you?

her: yeah. I don't want the chips that come with my combo

Me: Ok, you can trade it out with a cookie if you would like

her:i don't want a cookie, i want my money back for the chips

Me: Uh, I can't give you money back for the chips. They are a happy extra that we give you. If you would have purchased the sandwhich and smoothie seperately it still would have been more expensive than the combo price and there would not have even been the option for chips.

her: {blank stare}then... the owner did it for me

Me: I know the owner would not have done that (thinking to myself..she hasn't been here the past couple of days when you ahve come in anyway)

Her: another LONG blank stare with a grimace, then she turns to the chip rack and grabs a bag and starts to walk out

Me: Have a nice day! BIG smile on my face...AGGGH!!

Her: she just ignores me and walks all the way out..

**ok, so I seriously don't understand some people. She by far has been most amusing, next time you see me ask me to show you the face she pulled one day when she asked me what kind of soup we had and I told her Broccoli and cheese.... her mouth held WIDE open and it stayed that way for about 20 seconds. I had to ask her if she was ok. Lol....

Oh, and one other time she walks in and (I was making a smoothie for the customer before her ) and the first thing she says to me is...
"I'm in a hurry, you need to help me fast or I will be late to class" and she didn't say it very nicely either. So what do you think I am going to want to do when someone tells me they are in a hurry so I need to be fast...
Does it...
A- make me want hurry up and make her smoothie
B-stop making the customers smoothie that was before her and just give all my attention to her
C-GO EXTRA SLOW SO IT TAKES FOREVER TO GET HER FOOD MADE?

Yup, you guessed it.... anytime a customer tells me that they are in a big hurry and I better hurry up it just makes me want to go a whole lot slower...mean I know, but it's true!!!

Anyway, sorry for the long post of me complaining about some customers, but it just amazes me of what can come out of some peoples mouths!!

Amen Kelli! I completely sympathize with you! Where did this sense of entitlement come from??

He, He, He. I used to work in the food industry myself. I TOTALLY know what you are talking about. I love it!

Wow I can totally relate, but I don't think I ever had anyone as nuts as this! I wish I could be there.

So funny!! i miss the crazy customers that come in! remember the crazy lady from kid to kid that yelled at me for not taking her daughters coupon when she didn't even show her coupon at the time of purchase?... yeah that was way cool!!
but yes there are those people that think that the world revolves around them and that we should drop everything to serve them!

i worked at Victorias secret for like almost 2 years, you can only imagine things i SAW and heard there, but it was really entertaining! We had a cross dresser with boobs and had to help him adjust his bra in the fitting room while he was trying it on!

How funny! I kind of miss the good ol' days of weirdo customers. I remember when I was working at Kneaders a lady called my coworker lazy, portly and unkempt and that she felt like he was "hovering". He was just tidying up the tables around her and that made her mad somehow. We laughed about it for a long time.

I can totally relate with you girl! I worked at a restaurant for 4 years and trust me, I thought I saw everthing! People really can be dumb. Oh by the way, I tagged you! You have to post 6 quirky things about you. Have fun.

Some people ...
I agree with the wanting to go slower part! I totally do that on the road - if you are going to pull up within an inch of my bumper, then I am going to slow way down and it will take us BOTH longer to get where we were trying to get in the first place!
Merry Christmas!
