Our weekend getaway to St. George

Ok, so I apologize again for being so terrible at posting! This week has been pretty busy! A lot has been going on, but first to tell you all about our trip down to St. George! Jason and I left last week on Friday morning and arrived to my Grandparents house around 3:00. We brought our stuff in and hung out for a little bit. We all then headed out to see a movie. It was called The Flyboys. It was really cute, and it actually was filmed in St. George. Afterwards we headed to this really fantastic chinese place and ate dinner. We went home and just talked with my Grandma and Grandpa. I helped my Grandma on this puzzle she was working on.

The next morning my Grandparents and I woke up at 6:30 to go see Snow Canyon and get some pictures of it with the sun rising. The sun just lights the whole canyon up and it is so breathtaking. Then we went to this other spot that my Grandpa wanted me to get a picture of because she wants to paint it (she is AMAZINGLY talented...she paints, cross stitch, porcelain dolls, lamps and all that other stuff)! Anyway, when we got home we had breakfast and Jason finally woke up. We watched this movie that my Grandma loves. It is called the Sixth Sense of Happiness. It is from back in the 50's or 60's. It is based on a true story. I thought it was a good movie. We then relaxed a little more and then got ready for Les Miserables. We went and had dinner at the Tuachan which was so so, then we watched the little pre-shows that they have. It was a husband and wife and they were so cute. Finally it was time to be seated and Les Miserables began. I was so excited to see it again. The show was great. It was a little warm outside, but that didn't take aways from the show. I loved it. Jason loved it. He especially really liked the guy who played Javert. So after the show all of the actors stand outside so you can shake their hands and get pictures taken with them. So then Jason turns to me and asks, "can we go get your camera and get our picture taken with javert?" So we run down to the car and run back up and got our picture taken with him and then with the Innkeeper and his wife. We got home around 11:30 and Grandpa was tired so he went to bed. Jason, Grandma and I stayed up and talked and worked on the puzzle. Which I forgot to mention the puzzle is called "Impossibles" it has not edges to it (the edges are where I always start) and it has 5 extra pieces that go nowhere and the picture on the box does not really match up to the puzzle picture. Around 2:30 My Grandma and I decided that we had better go to bed.

We woke up Sunday morning and watched The Quick and the Dead. Another one of my Grandmas favorites. Church was 1:00 so we went to Sacrament then headed back to the house and packed up our things. The four of us headed up to Cedar City where my Uncle and Aunt live. We ate lunch/dinner with them and then celebrated my cousins 16th birthday. That is where we parted and said our goodbyes. The drive home went quick and was very entertaining. Jason and I jammed out to good tunes and sang into a plastic water bottle. We finally pulled up to our house around 8:00 that night.

So the weekend went by too fast, and I really was tempted to stay another couple of days. It was so nice to not have to worry about doing anything. I loved just being able to relax, talk and hang out with my Hubby and Grandparents. It is kind of pathetic but that was the first trip that Jason and I have taken since our honeymoon which was almost 4 years ago. So this trip made me realize that we need to do this more often. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the fun time we had, and for all you do for us. We are so lucky to have you guys in our lives!

Here are some pictures from the trip....

Hey you!! Glad you're still out there!! So remember that one thing we discussed at Chelsie's reception where I yelled something about being naked on a bed and that random man walked by and I felt like an idiot?! Yeah. Good times. Anyway, how's that coming?!?!?!?! (Am I nosy or what?!)

What a great weekend! It's always nice to get away. I need to find a puzzle like that for my hubby. He loves puzzles! That one sounds very frustrating to me, but I'm pretty sure he'd like it. The pictures you took are awesome!

By the way, thanks for the cinnamon bear offer, but I couldn't make you send me some. I am happy to report that my mother in law is sending me some anyway, so you don't need to worry. I'll be on a cinnamon bear high in no time!
