The 24th of July!

Ok, so I apologize in advance because this is going to be a longer post! First off let me tell you that every year for the 24th of July we go down to my Mom and Tom's home in Milburn to celebrate. We get there early in the morning around 9:00 for the kids parade, then we watch the main parade. This parade is fun because it is more of a small town parade (Fairview), so they throw TONS of candy and the floats are so fun! Then after the parade they have a big lunch that the EMT's put on and they have Fairview Idol! The singing is quite entertaining I must say! Then we head home and chill for a few hours. The guys usually start a game of Risk and the women hang out and get dinner ready! Then around 6:30 we head to the rodeo grounds for the best part of the day... THE DEMOLITON DERBY! My parents got VERY good seats this year. 5th row up and smack dab in the middle! Also, it was quite exciting to run into Jasons cousins, and we found out that Jason's cousin Derrick was actually driving in the derby this year! So it was so fun to have someone that we know in the derby this year. We cheered for him the whole time. He did very well. Ended up taking 4th place over all! There were several cars that tipped over (which is always the best part) and then they had a Fantastic fireworks display that went off at the very end! So the whole days was sooooo much fun! Thank you so much Tom and Mom for the fun day! We love you guys!
