Nursery!!

Jensen and Brad were finally able to go to nursery at the beginning of January. It was a day Jason and I were looking forward to. It was getting hard to keep the boys happy and entertained on our laps during priesthood and RS. So it was finally time to drop them off. At first they didnt think much of it. They saw toys and loved that. They didnt notice us all leave they were having so much fun. Then about 20 minutes before church got out I was sought out and was handed a crying Brad. I guess when he finally realized I had left he got a little sad and just kept by his brother. Then as time went on he just cried and wanted mom. :) Since that first day Nursery has been inconsistent. The boys would get sick and then better, so we take them back to nursery and they get sick again. But Brad still doesnt like us to leave. He cries-bad. Jensen could care less. He goes off and just does his own thing. He doesnt even care if Brad is there. Oh, and ever since that first day of nursery Brad has become super clingy. He was not clingy before nursery and now anytime someone comes over, or if he thinks i am leaving he doesnt do so well. Any suggestions? Oh and yes they are matching. These were their Christmas outfits. :)
Anyways, another post hopefully to come over the weekend. I am so happy that conference weekend is here. Love it!

Kelli the boys are so handsome in their shirts and vests! how grown up they look all dressed up.
I don't have any suggestions on nursery. Reuben runs around the hallways during sacrament. He does not sit still. We've tried books, snacks, toys, crayons, special bag only for Sundays, special spot in the chapel etc etc. As soon as he sees the chapel he gets really excited and just wants to run around. Michael chases him outside during sacrament and one of us has to sit with him in nursery too. He once ran out of the nursery while we were in class and the nursery leaders didn't follow him. He was found on the street outside by a member who was leaving early. I was just so scared thinking of what could have happened. So anyway we struggle with trying to keep it together through the meetings. I don't know what it is about the chapel that makes him so crazy active. But I suppose he won't be so little for very long and hopefully will grow out of it (or not! oh! help! haha). xox

A very important milestone in every parents life. I hope it gets better fast. My experience is that things get better faster if you just drop them off and leave (while expressing thanks and well wishes to the Nursery workers, who will be dealing with your screaming child for the next two hours, for their patience and long suffering (literally). Brad will soon learn to trust that you WILL be back and he WILL be okay.

That's my two sense. Take it or leave it. :)

By the way, their Christmas outfits are adorable. And it's okay for twins to match sometimes. My twin girls will match sometimes too (he he he)
