A Fun Conference Weekend!!

Ok, so this week was tiring. Jason and I are horrible at going to bed earlier than 12:00am. Which in the next day leaves a tired!! It is a bad habit that I am trying to break (more of Jason than me)! But I was very happy to see Friday get here and be done with work. It was a long day and I just wanted the weekend to come. We were short a worker on friday, and of course out of all days that was the one that was the busiest. We finally pushed through and I was able to go home. If you know me, then you know that I am not a big nap taker. If I sleep in the afternoon, then it makes it hard for me to fall asleep. Anyway, so I got home from work and took a 2 hour nap. I felt refreshed afterwards, and was still able to go to sleep that night.

Saturday morning Jason and I drove down to Milburn (where my Mom and Tom live) with Cari & her 2 boys, and my two brothers. We celebrated Easter with them by having an egg hunt. Every year my mom has a scavenger hunt for us around the house and yard. We split into two teams and see which one can find the big prize the fastest with the clues she leaves. That is usually followed my a egg hunt for the little kids. This year was a little different cause my mom wanted to switch it up (and she hasn't been feeling very well..there is alot going on with her health right now) so what she did was hide a lot of eggs for everyone to find and filled them with pieces of paper that had points on them. There were 3 papers that had $5 dollar gift certificates, and one that was a $10 dollar gift certificate. At the end of the hunt we counted up our points from the eggs we got and were able to choose prizes that she had bought. The prizes included candy, gum, card games, toys (for the kids) and other fun stuff. Sad to say Jason and I had the least amount of points...but that is ok..we got over it fast.

We had lunch and watched conference. My cousin Jenn came down with her husband, I was so excited cause I had not seen her in a long time. We all sat and talked and had a good time. The kids loved it cause my mom had got a new goat that had a baby. So the they played with the baby goat and thought it was so cute. Jason played with the dogs outside inbetween the sessions. I have pictures to show you all...just need to get them up. Once we got home I went out to dinner with my sister Cari and her two sister in laws, Lisa & Kelly. We all went to Chili's, then shopping afterwards. I had so much fun hanging out with my family. I am so lucky to have them close to me. They offer up so much love and support.

As for today, ahhhhh..... to rest and relax. I just loved listening to the first session of conference today. I would have to say my favorite talk so far has been by Elder Dieter Uchtdorf. He is such a strong man, and I enjoy the way he speaks. I can't wait to for the last session, and will be sad when it is over. It is strange not having President Hinckley with us, and I miss hearing him speak, and the humor and love he had. I was able to get Jason to tackle the laundry. Finally it's all folded and done. Hooray!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that last Saturday I went to Kristina's (one of my really good friends) baby shower. She is having TWINS in little more than a month. One boy and one girl. I am so happy for her, and had fun hanging out with all my friends (yes there are pictures I have to share)! She looked so cute, and was so TINY for being preggo with twins. I can't wait for them to come! I am so excited for her and Cam!!

Anyway, sorry for the long post. A lot happens in a short amount of time, and life is busy. I really am trying to post more often. Once again, thanks for reading my rambling!! I hope you all had as much fun as I did over conference weekend, and enjoyed the messages that we have heard!

Fun weekend! Glad you got some r & r. And as for the bachelor! I can't stand the majority of the girls. ESPECIALLY the one who wants to "fight for her man". She's my number one most obnoxious. I have not yet made up my mind on Shayne, however. Yes, she's spoiled and high maintenance, but she admits it, so I have to credit her. Not sure if I trust her or not. We'll just have to see what happens tomorrow!!

Oh me oh my!! So many annoyances!! I am SOOOOO with you on the Marshona thing!! If he doesn't cut her next week I am totally jumping into my television set to STRANGLE him! She is so Jerry Springer! I'm still not hating Shayne, but I definitely don't want him to end up with her. Amanda is my super favorite! I think she's adorable! Especially the little snippet they showed at the end of her giving him the rose back as a joke. I like Noelle too, but I don't think she fits with him. But she could still change my mind. The rest of them are fine, but nothing special. I really think he's turned out to be a decent bachelor though. He's scored highly in my book twice. Once for turning away the underwear girl and now for the flasher. Psychos!! Some of these girls need some serious self esteem! Guys will like you more if you don't throw your sexuality at them! There IS more to life! Ah well, I'm glad I got my drama fix for the week!
