Jensen & Brad turn 5!!

Well, here are some pictures of the boys while we were driving around one day. Nothing too exciting except for the fact that they are so darn cute and now like to make faces at my camera any time it comes out!
This is what Houston as looked like lately...a lot of rain!!!

The boys turned 5 this year! FIVE!!! I can't believe how fast time has flown. The requested doughnuts for breakfast so doughnuts they got!

In the morning the boys put pillows on their heads as "army hats" and used a sword and a hanger as guns and bow&arrows.

Those activities followed into the afternoon as well.
For dinner the boys wanted "Wendy's chicken nuggets" Jensen lately has been posing every time I take a picture! Such a goof and I love it! This kid keeps me laughing!
Brad "acting cool" in front of my camera is what he does now a days!!!
We kept the celebrations to a minimum this year. Jason was throwing up so he made an appearance to sing happy birthday and watch them open presents then returned to the bedroom.

These two are seriously best buddies. They are always concerned for the other and have so much fun playing side by side. I couldn't have asked for more!!!

4th of July

The pictures above are of our culdesac. It's beautiful and I love it every time I go outside. These particular pictures were taken early in the morning. It was super humid out and that is what you see in the air. Every morning I wake up to our windows completely fogged over. They look like a mirror in the bathroom when you take a steaming hot shower. It's crazy.
Next we have the amazing Sister Missionaries!! They both had Birthday's a couple of weeks apart so we celebrated on different days (the Sisters come over often). The boys love to play games with them and they are fun to be around!!

Here are my few 4th of July decorations.  This cute chalkboard was made by the awesome Danelle and Tyler of The Red Front Door. They make super cute things!!!

Our 4th of July was interrupted by natures own display of fireworks. A nice big Thunder/Lightning and rain storm took over. Our power went out several times and we were late to our ward's celebration. Right as we were all leaving the church the rain and slowed and the firework show started. So we watched them under the protection of the church building in an attempt to stay dry (you can see the parking lot in the pics).

It seems the lately the rain here in TX is constant and happening almost every night. It pretty much has ruined a lot of fun plans that we have had. Hopefully we will get a little break soon!!

I'm Baaaack!!!

Ok, so first off I realize it has been over a year since I last posted on here. There may be many that don't read my blog anymore (and I don't blame you).  We have moved to Houston Texas and therefore I must update to my family doesn't kill me. I also don't want to overload facebook with pictures so back to blogging I go.  Back at the beginning of June the boys and I took a little walk around where we live. I had been seeing Magnolia trees everywhere and wanted to get some pictures. They smell divine and are just beautiful. The flowers are also HUGE (take note of the size of the bee in one of the pictures below). I'm in love also with the view out of my front windows. Our neighborhood has many trees which I love. And of course we can't forget Brad & Jensen. These two keep me laughing everyday with things they say (like Brad telling me that I don't run the world, Jesus Christ does). Enjoy!

I love having twins. I love that they call each other their "best friend" I love that they are so concerned for each other. Most of all I love when they share and play together. They love anything having to do with machines (tractors, trucks, construction vehicles, etc.) and they love to read. Put the two together and you have two happy boys. I know I am biased, but these two are just the cutest. Love everything about them. While they were reading I quietly took the pictures...they don't always like it when i bring my camera out. Brad is on the left, Jensen on the right...

Remembering Warmer Days

Wanting for warmth, sun and clear skies I looked back through my pictures of the boys and saw that I never posted these. They LOVE to ride their bikes, play in the water and just be outside. Sitting inside all winter is so tiring on all of us. I want to walk out on the cement without my toes freezing. I want to breathe clean air. I want my boys to be outside having fun! I need to just keep reminding myself that this will pass in 3 months. I hope everyone has a fun/safe weekend! Brad is in the blue shirt, Jensen in the red.

Taking a Drive...

Back at the beginning of September when it was still nice and warm outside Jason and I took the boys for a ride. We ended up all the way in Eureka. I have never driven down to that area before and wanted to see what was around. In Eureka there was an old train car that people can go in.  The boys were super excited because they love trains.
There was this shop called "Brads Guns" so we had Brad show us his guns. They both were loving it!
On the way home we drove around Utah Lake. I loved the views that I saw.
We live in such a beautiful state.

It was so nice to get out and enjoy a little family time. The boys had a blast and loved seeing everything.
